IMPORTANT LEGAL FRAMEWORK NOTE
This document has been redrafted for the Indian legal environment as of August 2026. The Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 remain relevant during the statutory transition because section 43A of the IT Act and the SPDI Rules are not scheduled to be omitted until 13 May 2027. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 have been notified with phased commencement, with the core processing obligations scheduled for 13 May 2027. Accordingly, this policy is deliberately written to operate under the current IT Act/SPDI framework and to transition to DPDP requirements when those provisions become effective.
The 2011 SPDI Rules require a published privacy policy covering the categories of information collected, purposes of collection/use, disclosures and reasonable security practices; they also require appropriate notice/consent for sensitive personal data, correction/access mechanisms, security controls and grievance redressal.
The future DPDP regime is principles-based and requires clear notice, lawful processing, reasonable security safeguards, breach handling, grievance mechanisms and rights mechanisms. The 2025 Rules also contemplate security measures such as encryption, access controls, monitoring, backups, logging and breach response.
Where the PEHRAA/Suraksha24 website enables consumers to purchase services electronically, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 may apply to the relevant online transactions and consumer-facing practices.

No alarm system, monitoring service, sensor, communication network or software can guarantee prevention of burglary, theft, fire, vandalism, loss or other harm. Where the website or customer portal permits online ordering or payment, the displayed scope, pricing, taxes, billing cycle, cancellation/refund terms and payment conditions applicable to that transaction will be presented before payment. Payments may be processed by third-party payment service providers. Suraksha24 does not store complete payment-card credentials on its own systems unless specifically stated and lawfully required.

Third-Party Products and Services
Suraksha24 may integrate or use third-party hardware, CMS platforms, cloud infrastructure, payment gateways, telecom networks, communication providers, mapping services, analytics tools, calling platforms or other third-party technologies. Availability of a third-party component depends on that provider and its terms. Suraksha24 will use reasonable efforts to manage such dependencies but cannot guarantee uninterrupted third-party availability.
Third-Party Links
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only. Suraksha24 does not control or endorse third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.

Where dual-path or backup communications are offered, they reduce risk but do not eliminate it.
Limitation of Website Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Suraksha24 will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising solely from use of the public website. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Suraksha24 against reasonable third-party claims, losses and costs arising from your unlawful use of the website, fraud, willful misconduct, infringement of third-party rights, unauthorized use of another person’s data or material breach of these Terms.
Suspension / Termination of Digital Access
We may suspend or terminate website/account access where reasonably necessary for security, unlawful use, fraud, non-payment, breach of terms or legal compliance. Suspension of a digital account does not automatically terminate a separate monitoring contract unless the relevant contract so provides.
Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in law, technology, services or business practices. Material changes will be posted with a revised Last Updated date and, where required, communicated through appropriate channels.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory statutory or consumer forum rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, disputes shall be subject to the competent courts at Ludhiana, Punjab, India.

Sensitive Personal Data / Security-Sensitive Information
The SPDI Rules define specific categories of sensitive personal data, including passwords, financial information, health information, sexual orientation, medical records/history and biometric information. Not every security or alarm record is legally SPDI merely because it is sensitive in a commercial or physical-security sense. Suraksha24 will nevertheless apply proportionate security controls to security-related data because unauthorized disclosure may create significant risk.

Legal Basis / Lawful Ground
During the current transition, Suraksha24 will process personal information in accordance with applicable contract, consent, lawful purpose, legal obligation and other legally recognized grounds relevant to the processing. When the DPDP Act’s substantive provisions apply, Suraksha24 will align processing to the applicable lawful grounds under that Act, including specified purposes, consent where required and certain legitimate uses prescribed by law. The Privacy Notice shown to the individual at collection will be updated as required.
Consent and Withdrawal
Where consent is required, we will seek it in an appropriate form and will not make consent the sole basis for processing where another lawful ground legitimately applies. A person may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis; however, withdrawal may prevent Suraksha24 from providing a service that depends on the relevant processing. We will explain material consequences where applicable.
Notice at Collection
Where personal information is collected directly, Suraksha24 will provide a clear notice describing the information collected, purposes of use and the relevant means of contacting us. The future DPDP notice framework requires clear and plain-language notice with an itemized description of personal data and specified purposes. Suraksha24 intends to use that standard as the design benchmark for its notices.

Suraksha24 does not sell or rent customer personal data to unrelated third parties for their independent marketing purposes. Where a third party provides a service to Suraksha24, it may process data under contractual and security controls appropriate to the service.
Cross-Border Processing / Transfers
Some technology or service providers may process information outside India. Any transfer or access will be managed in accordance with applicable law, contractual safeguards and the security/privacy standards that apply to Suraksha24. We will not make a blanket claim that all data is stored only in India unless the actual infrastructure and vendor arrangements support that statement.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to perform the contract, resolve disputes, maintain security, comply with legal/accounting/tax obligations, establish or defend legal claims and meet other lawful requirements. Specific retention schedules will be determined by data category, contractual need and legal requirements. When data is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize or securely dispose of it subject to lawful exceptions.
Accuracy and Correction
Individuals and customers should keep their contact and account information accurate. You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information. Under the current SPDI framework, the organization must permit review/correction requests and address grievances in a time-bound manner.

Suraksha24 will provide appropriate channels and timelines for those rights when they apply.

Where required, you should inform that person of our processing and direct them to this Privacy Policy.
Call Recordings
Where call recording is enabled, Suraksha24 may record monitoring-response and service calls for security, training, quality assurance, dispute resolution, audit and legal purposes, subject to applicable law and appropriate notice. Retention will be based on operational and legal requirements.
Location / Property Information
Service addresses, mapped locations, site plans and sensor-placement information may be highly security-sensitive. We restrict access according to role and need-to-know. Customers should not submit unnecessary confidential site information through public website forms.
Security Safeguards
Suraksha24 will maintain a documented information-security program appropriate to the nature and risk of the information processed. The 2011 SPDI Rules recognize a comprehensive documented information-security program with managerial, technical, operational and physical controls as a reasonable-security framework, and specifically reference ISO/IEC 27001 as one recognized standard.
- Role-based access controls and least-privilege access.
- Authentication controls and, where supported, multi-factor authentication.
- Encryption or equivalent protections for data in transit and, where appropriate, at rest.
- Secure configuration, vulnerability and patch management.
- Endpoint, network and application security controls.
- Backups and business-continuity measures.
- Logging, monitoring and review of relevant security events.

Where a legal notification requirement applies, Suraksha24 will notify the competent authority/Board and affected individuals within the applicable statutory timelines. Cookies Policy
Essential cookies may be used for security, session management and core website functionality. Analytics and marketing cookies, if used, should be configured according to the applicable consent/notice framework and the website’s cookie controls. Suraksha24 will maintain an up-to-date cookie inventory with provider, purpose, duration and category before launch.
Children’s Data
The website and commercial monitoring services are intended for adults and business users. Suraksha24 does not knowingly solicit personal data from children through public forms. Where a service involves a person below the applicable age threshold, any collection or processing will be handled in accordance with applicable law and required parental/guardian arrangements.
Data from Business Customers
Where Suraksha24 processes personal information supplied by a corporate customer, bank, NBFC or other organization under a service contract, the parties may agree by contract who determines the purpose and means of processing and what security, incident, retention and assistance obligations apply. Suraksha24 may act as a service provider/processor in some contexts and as a data fiduciary/controller in others; the role depends on the specific processing.
Customer Responsibility for Security Data
- Keep site access credentials, alarm codes and administrative credentials confidential.
- Use only authorized users and remove access promptly when personnel leave or change roles.
- Notify Suraksha24 of changes in emergency contacts and security procedures.
- Do not upload confidential site plans or credentials through non-secure website forms.
- Cooperate with security investigations and reasonable remedial actions.

Data Subject / Customer Authentication
Because Suraksha24 operates a security monitoring service, identity and authorization verification is particularly important. We may refuse or limit a request where disclosure would compromise another person’s data, reveal confidential security information, undermine system security, prejudice an investigation, or otherwise be restricted by law.
Updates to Privacy Policy
We may amend this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, vendors, services or business practices. The updated version will be posted on pehraa.com with the revised Last Updated date. Material changes will be communicated where required.
Order of Precedence for Privacy Terms
Where a signed customer data-processing agreement, security addendum, or contractual privacy schedule provides more specific obligations, that contractual document will prevail to the extent of a direct conflict, subject to mandatory law.
